after the convention

>ex breaks up with me in june at school
>oh thank fuck finally
>two weeks later, ex goes on holiday
>seven blissful days without them glaring at me
>ex comes back and seems to be ignoring me
>ex disappears for two weeks

>EX HAD JUMPED OUT OF THEIR BEDROOM WINDOW AND WALKED THREE MILES IN THEIR PYJAMAS AND SOCKS BECAUSE "THEY WANTED TO SEE ME" AND THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ROMANTIC

>parents lock me in front room with ex and make me tell them to fuck off
>ex's parents come pick them up and vaguely chastise them
>complains to my parents that they didn't let ex stay overnight and woke them up
>parents bluntly tell them to go fuck themselves
>almost never see ex again

I'm a lot better and less freaked-out at conventions now, and I still see ex at said conventions because of mutual friends. They give me those "you TOTALLY fucked up my life" death glares every time we pass and are apparently FTM themselves now haha. There's definitely lasting damage from that relationship on my end - I still can't listen to "Hey there Delilah" without bursting into tears - but I'm getting better with the whole thing with relationships and sex.
