To some degree anyway.
Post 2010, dresses where mostly print over unique construction. Before then, it was construction based.
Take a look at Angelic Pretty in 2009 for example. Very few printed dresses, a huge pile of gorgeous uniquely constructed printless designs.
This was my fave year for AP, though I still have heaps of printed dresses on my wishlist.

though i covet a lot of prints of today to say the least, but mostly BTSSBs or IW of present. otherwise its AP's 2008-'10 construction and simpler print design (less full-on drawings and artwork, more motifs) that wins my heart forever
