I have a round face and I learned the hard way just don't tie the ends around the face, tie it at the back instead. You can also super loosely tie it like pic related so it doesn't accentuate how round your chin is.

Bonnets aren't super flattering to begin with, it's ready just a statement piece. I rarely reach for them unless I want to scream Victorian. I'm classic so I don't even go for the super round bonnets.
