Sca weapons are rattan sticks, sometimes padded the rules set up isn't that kind when it comes to oddities. You will find little benefit from an Axe or specific hand weapons. Oh and scadians loose their minds when you say "no shields"

The combat rules are geared toward viking era sword and shield tactics so anything outside that is inefficient.
