I've been wanting to get this damn belt done for Wander from SoTC for a while now. I knew i wanted to do something for the dangling things on his belts and looked around to see what others had done as well as game footage. What i had read via game related stuff was that they were bones. A coworker of mine has some woods directly behind her house and had found a deer carcass. It had been rotting since january and she told me i could come take any bones i found. I walked away with 16 bones. My father in law helped me with the cleaning process since i had never done that before. I put them in a hydrogen peroxide bath for 3 days, pulled them out, and cleaned off any remaining tissue. It helped loosen and get rid of alot of the bad stuff and took down the odor by alot. I cleaned out the larger bucket i had them soaking in and put a new hydrogen peroxide mixture in. I'll be pulling the bones out tomorrow and letting em dry in the sun. I dont want the bones to look perfectly white since i'll be making my outfit dirty anyways.
