what's the best way to make a skeleton king kind of costume?

I want something silly to go as for my friend's princess thing she's doing and I figure skeleton king would be silly enough to be acceptable as an alternative to being a prince or something. Should I just like combine the earlier advice of skeleton morphsuit with crown and cape? Or would that clash too much to work?

I'd be going for a less-threatening kind of look like this if that helps.
