>My parents must be complete suckers since another neighbour on rough times has started coming over to use running water, and do laundry

>One day, while I'm getting groceries for the week, the mother and daughter must've come over while I was gone
>I get home and see the mother asleep on the couch, and the daughter normally sleeps around this time, so I thought nothing of it, and put the groceries away
>go to my room to plug in my phone, and I see the 2 year old yanking on some of my longer clothes
>she refuses to let go, and starts screaming her head off
>the mother wakes up to come find the source of the screaming

>she still comes over, but now I know I have to hang my clothes even higher to keep them safe

then tonight, while I'm making dinner

>then she repeats "you should've been born a girl,"
>think to myself "hearing that my whole life might be why I feel the need to dress like one"
