I know, right? What's sad is that she could look really pretty if she just took better care of her skin. I'm not fond of her pretending and her actions, but the former Body Shop employee in me is like, "Let me fix your face for you, honey." ;~;

She just needs to not tan (or at least not do it as frequently), not use cheap cosmetics (seriously, drop by Sephora or Chanel, damn it.), and have a routine for taking care of her face. For her skin to look THIS aged for someone in their mid twenties is awful.

Damn it, that's it. Next con she's at, I'm bringing her some Clinique.

Nobody said that nobody could be pretty. People take issue with those like JNig, Yaya, and Traci because they act as if they're flawless and perfect when it's all smoke and mirrors. The first two cake on make up and have tit jobs and Traci, well, just cakes on make up. They've all done this so much that it's aged their skin terribly, despite how young they are. And, few pictures of them exist without make up. People don't like people who act like they're perfect, but refuse to be seen without make up on. It makes it seem like you have something to hide.

Yaya wears it because she's getting older. It makes sense for older women to wear more makeup, they have more imperfections they have to hide. Jessica has no excuse. She's what 24?

She's like the Fast Food of cosplay. Convenient, aggressively marketed, appeals to a much wider audience due to certain aspects, but ultimately not nearly as good as the little known, privately owned restaurants you can go too.

Jessica Nigri is like Taco Bell to other cosplayer's actual authentic, Mexican restaurants.

It's kind of sad this is where the hobby has gone. People used to do this out of love for what they cosplayed. Whether the cosplay was obscure or not. She always cosplays whatever is current, trendy, popular, or sexy. You seriously going to tell me she loves every new game that comes out, and is genuinely a fan of it? Nope.

"Well I just like the design." That's fine. Except for when you LIVE by it. If you like a design because it's an artistic challenge for yourself, that's fine. I have nothing against that. But you can tell how phony it is with her. She's essentially a Booth Babe on the go. Or perhaps a Hawaiian Tropic Modelling contest dropout. Depending on how you wanna' look at it.

Even cosplayers who essentially do it for the fame these days, originally did it out of love for SOMETHING nerdy, whether it games or anime or comics. At least Yaya did it before anyone cared about cosplay.

I would love to see Jessica make a costume that doesn't play up her appearance, and is super obscure/really old. Like that would ever happen, though.
