Oh, god. I have the same bust and waist measurements as you, I'm 5'6" and my hips are 103cm. I used to do the same thing as those plus sized girls you mentioned. I used to take my measurements and make the measuring tape go so tight, just so I could say that I had a 66cm. waist. I didn't tell any of my friends or anything, but I used to put down significantly smaller measurements when I ordered cosplay (just because it made me feel thinner than I actually am), and refused to wear anything from a store labeled over a M. Finally learned my lesson when a Mami cosplay I bought was so small for me that the blouse gave me major boobloaf, the skirt barely covered my ass, and I couldn't put on the corset no matter how much I forced and sucked in. I ended up breaking the zipper on it. I ended up having to spend another $50 + int. shipping for another mami cosplay that fit properly. Ever since then I learned my lesson, and realized how painful it is to see girls in clothes that are obviously much too small.

I wrote a really ridiculously long response to the whole headdress drama and she sent me a message saying she was going to try to act better and asked if she should apologize to some people. I told her that I think she should make a public apology but I dunno if she did. I think that she honestly didn't see that she was being rude, and then people sending her rudeness back just exasperated the issue. I really hope she's honestly trying to change and isn't just saying that to ward off drama/anon hate, or to excuse her behavior.
