I wouldn't wear otome kei to a lolita meet-up. But I wear Emily Temple Cute and Jane Marple to meets really often. It all depends on your comm and how you coord it. Some people are a bit too obsessed with putting things in the 'otome kei' box just because of the brand name. I wore pic related to a picnic meet last year and looked way more lolita than some of the girls wearing AP.

All of my ETC dresses fit poofy petticoats and most of them actually look bad without a petti. Some of my JM dresses have a small built-in petti and I usually wear another one for extra poof. I don't know about LG because I don't have any of their dresses.
