the 2nd does call his outfit "ouji," though of course who knows why. pic related also called this outfit "ouji", in an ancient Fruits edition. being a regular word means "ouji" gets used for a lot of stuff that has a prince vibe, whether or not it is ouji fashion as we love it.

you are right about the goth vs punk aesthetic. i have noticed old snaps have many proto ouji coords in punk style, often paired with lolita. i think ouji has inherited a lot from punk. funnily enough, goth also grew out of punk. in the end, we are all just a bunch of punks
