Because, unfortunately, a lot of girls are not aware of Lime Crime's sordid history. They just see the lipstick swatches on the website, don't realize that they're HEAVILY photoshopped, and order them. The thing that I've noticed with LC is that their newbies tend to be roped in by their Velvetines, but as we've discussed in the previous two threads, there are about six or seven better alternatives to theirs that are bigger and won't dry your lips to the point of flaking. And, you won't be giving your hard earned money to a cunt who kills her cat, so there's always that.

As for Indie brands, I'd avoid Impulse Cosmetics because they do the same shit as LC with picture stealing and shopping the hell out of their product swatches online. You could try Pla Beauty, ForStrangeWomen, OrangeThyme; Borne Cosmetics' Foundation tends to be compared to Revlon's often and users speak to it being much better. Oh, and for those looking for super pigmented shadows a la Sugarpill yet cheaper? Pic related are swatches of 8 Bit Cosmetics. There's more colors than just those. They also have the longevity that Sugarpill's eye shadows do. As always, primers are recommended to help increase that lovely staying power.
