Yeah no. It's more like, people who solely try to do them at cons having never done casual relations and typically ending up being pushy, awkward, and creepy. There's no difference in approaching congoers or cosplayers and approaching regular people at any other social event. It's all the same. The bizarre shit that happens is just amplified by a tendency for socially inexperienced people to show up at a con thinking someone dressed up as their waifu or husbando is going to copulate with them because that's what they desperately want to happen. It's a sad combination of the inherent loneliness of weeblife and unfulfilled dreams colliding with the now overly sexualized cosplay scene that emboldens the most reserved and antisocial members of society to commit very questionable actions. It's like walking into a fantasy land where every other person is dressed up as your favorite fetish, and then refusing to accept you're not walking around in that same fantasy. That's where the creepers come from, and it has nothing to do with it being a gathering of one specific culture.
