Damn anon, did you accidentally put salt in your tea instead of sugar? Here I pulled together a comparison of dresses from BTSSB in 2001 vs 2016. I pulled the pictures from the first few rows of lolibrary after I searched 'btssb op 2016', so there's no manipulation of the truth on my behalf. The lack of variety is pretty jarring in the 2016 row. While I do agree that oldschool threads can become a bit of a circlejerk about how 'the glory days are over' and 'lolita isn't as good as it used to be', the difference is undeniable.
