Let me start off by saying that “Res” is the sort of girl who enjoys making costumes more than she does wearing them. As a matter of fact, in the many years I have known her she has yet to wear one at a convention and although she’s constantly finishing projects they are seldom for herself- unless it’s a display piece.
She’s been at this for a long time and she’s very good. Even in high school she was our go-to girl for making just about anything- if you had a question on macgyvering something Res was the guru and she didn’t want a thing in return except for you not to hover over her while she worked. Props and costumes just sort of came naturally to her and she’s made good money off it in recent years. I’ve always thought of her as one of the guys but my friend “Loki” had it bad for her the second they met two years ago- I know; I introduced them.
It was not long ago when Res texted me to say she would be vending at an upcoming convention- this would be only her second time doing so and she was excited but nervous as her business partner would be unable to attend and the venue was relatively large.
