It's true, people are really reluctant to give you shit to your face, especially in a con environment where everyone's weird and they're not guaranteed to have social backing for their bigotry. Hell, I've walked through downtown Birmingham in a dress, not even remotely passing, and didn't get more than surprised looks from passerbyers. They'll be judging me in private, but that's okay. I judge smokers/furries/fat people the same way. I'm not looking for acceptance, just freedom from harassment.

My problem is that I don't like makeup. Not how it looks (me or girls), nor how it feels on my face. It's a personal bias I know should get over, but can't. Instead, I look for characters I can get away with not using more than what's needed to hide beard shadow. Thinking of cosplaying Ougi Oshino later this year (pic related). Doesn't seem hard or involved, she's pretty odd looking as-is.

P.S. - any advice for just obscuring the face hair? I've been using foundation + some crap my sister recommended and it doesn't work.
