I wanted to cosplay in the school uniforms from Madoka Magica because they seemed like a formidable challenge. Anyway, I have no idea how to construct the top- I'm a beginner sewer with some cosplay experience. Should I buy a top and use that as a base? Or sew the yellow portions then find a mandarin collared blouse to deconstruct to add to the yellow?
I'm really confused. Also any material suggestions please. Preferable something that won't wrinkle easily but isn't expensive.
