Please help gulls. I literally have zero cosplay, DIY, and sewing/clothes making knowledge but I want to cosplay a character that has thigh high boots. How the hell do I make those? Do I have to find real boots? Make them out of clothes? How can I decorate them? With which material? What sort of paint can I use to change the soles color?

Satsuki picture for reference. She isn't my desired cosplay but her boots are pretty close to who I want, except with gold trimming at the top of the shoes and along the length.
