Of course it is, both societies have men with nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Men complain about not getting women because the whole point of civilization is giving men who contribute to the civilization a near certain guarantee that they will pass their genes.

That is the basis of the social contract, why else would men join a society?

Protection? Food? Company?
All those things are superfluous if one cannot pass their genes.
