> when did you discover lolita? how old were you?
I discovered Lolita when I was in middle school, I was really into scene and was looking for other alternative fashions to get into and found it through deviantart. I also found lolita in this website called Stardoll as well and bought the dresses for my avatar, but I didn’t start deeply getting into it until I was 14/15 right at my weeb phase when I saw anime characters wearing the fashion and thought it was a cute to wear irl
> what substyle first interested you?
I was really into creepy cute/pastel goth and liked it when lolitas mixed both aesthetics (pastelbat and hellobatty were my favorites) I wanted to have a witchy halloween wardrobe gearing towards sweet, and I was also really into star and constellation prints
> what was your first dream dress? did you ever get it?
My first dream dresses were the Holy Lantern OP in lavender and the Cosmic JSK in lavender too. When Dreamy Planetarium came out I was crazy for it though and it also gained a special place in my dream dress list of the time. Never got any of these but I still want them, just in different cuts and color ways, and they are not my dream dresses anymore so I’m not prioritizing them
> first brand dress?
My first dress was a taobao halloween print JSK but my first ever brand piece was a black floral AP skirt I bought from a comm member who was leaving EGL
> did any particular coords, pics, media, etc make you fall in love with lolita?
Some anime/videogame characters (such as Celestia Ludenberg from DR and Stocking) inspired me to try the fashion. When I actually started learning more about the fashion I really liked the old school gothic streetsnaps a lot despite that not being my favorite aesthetic at first.
> how have your tastes changed?
I still like both sweet and gothic but like to keep them separate and wear them depending on my mood. I also really love old school Lolita now, not really into the whole Halloween Lolita aesthetic anymore.
