Has anyone ever packed wings as checked baggage (flying from between Canada/US)? I'm wondering what the approximate cost would be if it's possible.

If it's not possible or too expensive, is there a good way to make each wing separate into 2 pieces to reduce the size? I'm making them out of wire, felt, and real feathers so weight won't be an issue. The harness and wings will be detachable from each other and will look similar to the set pictured, each wing measuring about 50" L X 25" W.
