I want to make a dress with a bodice kind of like this but that rests a little higher on my waist. I'm worried that because my fabric isn't very sturdy (chiffon and lining) that without a waistband the skirt won't stay put at my waist. I don't really want to add a waistband though... any ideas on how to fortify that seam a little? I'm using a circle pattern for the skirt, so the skirt will already be kind of wobbly...
