Now for the 12 years I have been attending cons I can affirmatively say that the number of cosplayers in most major events are in fact 50/50 M/F, that's clear to me. Also the number of good cosplayer from both those group have been more or less even, in fact most of the best cosplayers I have seen have been men, but is often do to them getting both the costume and the personality correct. Also, it is about even between genders in terms of who makes and who buys, and most costumes have had a grandparent's hand involved from what I have seen.

To answer Op's question, The female cosplay seen is filled with self absorbed cunts that must eat one another to fill there mostly empty lives with a vague sense of self worth. Cosplaying should never be about you, but about who you are cosplaying. Sadly to many have forgotten this.
