I think the problem is more people who begin to modify designs planning on being jaw dropping and special snowflacks without planning?
This Sarah's major problem for me is her design is inconsistent with the original dress' motif. Just because the silhouette is correct, doesn't mean that it's similar. I think keeping to at least one of the character's other major design elements aside from the silhouette would have helped.
