I'm working on an Anastasia cosplay, but I'm really torn between two types of fabric for the dress. I've seen people make it out of a very lightly glittered fabric (even thought it doesn't look gliterry in the movie), but I've also considered velvet. Which one should I use, /cgl/?

Bonus if you have any tips for applying glitter to fabric without making a complete mess.
