I can attest to this. Both my boyfriend and myself have physically abusive tendencies, and when we would get too drunk it would get super out of hand.

After one fight we kind of sat down and admitted that we are both abusive fuckers, and what we can do to control our anger. We've both started a bit of counseling, alone and together, and we both make sure to never drink as much as we have in the past.

Are you me? When I was in later high school and early college I was a social butterfly. It was funny because I was so shy in my younger years.

Now I can't pay people to hang out with me. I ended up going to the bar alone dressed as a clown last night.

I think it's because in college and upper high school people are so open to making friends because that's the thing that you're supposed to do, but then if you change where you are and where you don't know anyone it's hard because everyone already has their friends, so why should they make a new one?

I'm not trying to blame other people (there's obviously things wrong with me), but damn, I thought cliques were for high school, son.

I'm looking for a buddy in my location to actually physically hang around with. I'm a beginner with a lot of the cosplay and lolita stuff, but I do have a background in theatre, so I do have some good knowledge of stuff. I'm kind of looking for a mentor (I learn best by doing and being shown how to do it), but I would also love someone who is starting up like I am.
