I remember my first /cgl/ meetup just awkwardly standing there as everyone talked like old friends catching up.
But then a few of them started asking me who I was cosplaying that weekend, and just generally trying to involve me in the conversation.

Wouldn't have a lot of the friends I do now if it wasn't for just going to meetups, or following friends to parties.
