No problem with you buying merch from all parts, just don't think it'd look good if you mixed them into one bag, especially since the art styles wildly differ from one part to the next. Even the difference between Part 1 and 3 is noticeable.

And to answer your original question, I'd go with either neutral colors (black, white, gold, or silver), or maybe royal purple (see attached). Purple seems to be a favored color by Araki, regardless of the part, and in particular it's a blue-purple shade. Obviously if you're going to go character-specific, use the character's colors.
