The dress is really old Metamorphose, so the lace isn't that great of quality (I wouldn't even be keeping it, but it was my first dress so it has sentimental value). On the tag it says 100% cotton in Japanese, but some of the lace is clearly not. Specifically the lace on the bodice and above the cotton lace on the princess sleeve. There's no real way to take off the cheaper stuff without damaging the dress as some of it has been sewn right on top of the seams in most places and unpicking it would be a nightmare.
