You're not far from the truth - the larp was about travellers stuck at a tavern set in a backwater mountain pass because of the recent weather. The mountain pass - because of its backwater nature - is mostly used by those who are either so much in a hurry that they have less concern for safety, or have something to hide, so from such a situation, tension springs naturally.
There were also a serious case of witches' curses and stolen hearts (literally) involved, but that's just details.

The vast majority of the sites we use are either simply forests and nothing else, or youth camps - it was very lucky that we found this site for our winter events, which serves both as a youth camp and a wedding venue. The owner is a really chill guy, and he built most of the camp (basically everything apart from a small section of the large building) by himself.
