For this particular dress, I've read advice saying that a medium to low poof A-line would be best for achieving the look in the stock photos like >>8400552 . So that's one alternative silhouette you could try.

Pic related is petticoat I'm considering, because I prefer the look of the A-line for this.

It might help people give you advice if you were able to tell exactly what looks wrong when you wear cuts like this.
