I always find it funny when people complain about cons being "shit". An anime con is entirely what you make of it. It's like going to a party and calling it terrible because they aren't playing the right music or serving the proper brand of alcohol.

Go with some cool people, socialize with others, and have fun. If you're waiting for con staff to provide you with entertainment then you're doing it wrong.
