I don't agree on this. If you pick Attack on Titan cosplay you will be noticed by the masses because you're in a popular cult group. Same with Homestruck. Compare that to something like picture related that nobody knows what the hell it is. Only the small section of people would watch it will and the other people would take pictures because it's 'cool' or cute but that's it.

Also Love Live isn't obscure in the first place so even if you pick an obscure outfit you will still get noticed because it's cute and Love live. You just won't be part of the hivemind/attention whores.
