Got babbys very first cosplay coming up- going to do 3d2y Zoro (more or less as pictured, but with the bandanna on head since I'm not devoted enough for dye or a wig at the moment). Most everything is squared away since it's a relatively simple put together to go with my friend's Perona. She is a habitual cosplayer however with many years of experience so I don't want to be TOO far removed quality wise.

Anyways to the ask- so I have an idea for securing the sword/scabbards (since they must be peace bound). A leather flap essentially, attached to my belt via loops with snaps so it can be removed/attached on the fly. Measured to fit under the haramaki, and have two separate but stable anchor points. I haven't gotten the measurements yet but probably ~6" or less wide, maybe a bit taller depending on where the haramaki will sit in relation to my belt. From the two anchor points, each would have three lengths of fishing line; long, mid, and short. These would then get attached to the swords- probably via zip-tie to keep them from sliding around two swords with one long and one short, the third double mid to keep the varying angles for the swords as they hang.

My reasoning for the flap is to lower the anchor points of the lines to near the bottom of the haramaki so that the top lines won't be pulling out and either creating a unsightly bulge, or making it slide up my body unintentionally. The fishing line being a time/effort compromise based on the fact that in reality Zoro's swords have no logical sense to their attachment, they just float there however makes the scene look cool. Plus the fishing line is 15lb so it should be fairly safe in securing and not snapping if I get jostled or whatever.

Is there any glaring flaws with this plan logistically or particular concern on how it would appear?
