He's shy and doesn't like the attention alternative fashion attracts, but he also offered to dress up too recently; I really appreciated it as I'm in shit-covered jodphurs most of the time and hadn't dressed up in months. He beamed whenever I got compliments, which mad real me glad to know I hadn't just publicly disgraced him.

This, to me, is one of the most exemplary pieces that is undeniably Andy iconically lolita through and through. I look at CoF most days and wonder if the current stuff is even the same fashion anymore- even my own wardrobe.

He generally likes to dress in a way that doesn't draw attention to himself (he dressed up a bit to match me) so me wearing lolita can make him uncomfortable, but over the years he has grown to appreciate my tastes which have refined a little with time. He does worry that people will think lolita is a fetish thing because it sometimes looks like there is more than an 4 year age gap between us (and his mother seems to think that it is 'prostitute clothes', if you remember that whole wedding drama episode). We already stick out like a sore thumb being an interracial couple and having our height difference, but he's beginning to stop giving a fuck when we get nasty comments whether I'm in lolita or not. DESU I get more pleasant comments in Lolita because I look less... 'Urban'.

He has watches than run up to 5k each and my entire wardrobe doesn't even come close to a fraction of his collection, all my normie stuff is really cheap (thrifted/eBay/F21 etc) and my last Lolita purchase was in December 2015, so he appreciates the fact I still spend far less on dumb shit like clothes than many girls.

He hugely disapproves of women dressing to look sexy (yeah there is a bit of a madonna-whore complex going on) so Lolita allows me to dress up and feel pretty and fancy without having to worry about looking 'slutty'.
