>I've had the opposite problem. I feel like every unflattering picture of me possible is posted on some public page and the photographer doesn't even bother to touch up a few pimples, smooth out my complexion, or push in my stomach just a tad.
>It looks like they touched the contrast button for two seconds and then decided it was fine, ugh.

See, as a cosplayer who is a photogapher occasionally I never do that.

Every shot I get is given a cursory look over to determine if it is postable. If it passes, which like all but 4 or 5 of them usually do, then I at least bump up the color, contrast, white of the eyes, clear a pimple, and smooth out a couple stray hairs.

I know what it's like to have people just post all the crappiest poses and not tell you your wig is sliding back, and not tell your your con badge is in the way. That shit sucks and I always try to make sure people get good photos of the hard work they did.

Recently a professional photographer took a picture of a friend of mine. It looked like crap. It was poorly contrasted, the color was washed out, they didn't tell her that her wig was sliding back, and they didn't correct the shine on her nose or the weird glare in one pupil and not the other.

I went in, fixed it, and the pro photographer had the NERVE to get upset that someone fixed it. My friend had to take it down.
I was like BITCH if you had done what you are supposed to I wouldn't have had to do anything.
