Yup, by the end of the con most of the elevators were pitch black. Of course it did lead to a few memorable encounters:

>Around 10:00pm
>decide to head back to the room to change
>elevator opens.
>Full of plainclothes indian guys.
>Doors shut
>pitch black
>dead silent
>a small voice is heard from the corner in the darkness.
>"You goin' to the orgy?"

and

>Saturday night.
>Doors open
>One light left in the elevator
>It's pretty full.
>Some guy reaches for the last light to unscrew it.
>Is hand is stopped by a scythe held by a guy cosplaying Dr Stein from Soul Eater.
>"Not yet... let's save that for next year's harvest."
