Each book has between 10 and 24 illustrations. It depends on which one you get and how it's laid out. As for the themes, the covers usually do a good job explaining it--Girl Meets Sweets (+/2) are all dessert-themed illustrations. Afternoon Tea is desserts and types of drinks that you'd have during a fancy tea service. Delicious Girls is a bunch of "seasonal" treats and dishes. Romantic Jewels is all birthstone themed. Parfum de la fascination is a mix of things, with the idea that each image represents a "fragrance" by that name. La Cirque is all circus imagery, etc.
