Not at all, except maybe by overzealous newbies or girls who hate everything old school. The only thing you have to watch out for is that it's flattering on your body (not too wide on girls who already have a large waist/bust) and uses high quality materials (no shitty shiny thin ribbon). I personally don't care for the lacing on that particular Meta JSK because I think the colour unbalances the rest of the dress, but if it were more subdued I'd love it.
