I am new to cosplaying. I want to cosplay for a con about a year from now and I think I found the character I want to try to do. He is Gundyr from Dark Souls 3.

My question is what do you guys recommend a beginner use material wise to construct the armor? I am hoping to create an accurate looking cosplay, but above all else I want it to be comfortable and functional as I intend to go all three days for ten hours plus each day.

I'd rather be comfortable than 100% accurate. I've heard people use foam to make armor and such. If you have any guides I would highly appreciate it
