>-About how rich would a person in the time period you're portraying would have to be to get the (Waffenrock?) you're wearing, with that type of cloth and colors?
basic landsknecht. So a not poor craftsmen or above.
Though thinking about it, my cloths are pretty much compared to the basic landsknecht as I don't have silk or brocate.

>-As for your helmet, were plumes (Like these long Dark Souls decorations) a thing too or only feathers? How do you make the helmet hold them?
I never played dark souls so I don't know about them. But feather decorations were a thing and long plumes also. Even on simple hats, not just on helmets.
About how it's held on, look at the copper thing on the helmet. I just simply put so much feathers there that they stuck there.

I do it for the munitions grade authentic look. The texture is similar now to some armour that are in the museums. Also it's a cheap and easy way to paint the armour.

Although if I would have fuckton money I would use proper blackening for it, but even that would had to be redone every year...

I use this although it's probably around 3kg, never really weighted it.
But thin and light helmets for larp is pretty much usual, after all they doesn't really have to protect you from anything, weapons and rules are made in a way that you won't hurt yourself even if you are hit on the head
