Sub nerds, I'm getting ready to post this summer's contest. Give me some feedback:

"The weather is getting warm, and it's time to get back /out/ with the reenactment, the living history, and the LARP season.

To hopefully kickstart it for some of you, It's time for a semi-regular contest: show us your best, historic/LARP camp or bushcraft project! Historic overnight trek? Brush shelter bivouac? Camped like an orc in the woods? Take a picture, and post it in the thread (as well as emailing it to me), and you could win a firestarter kit as a prize.

The kit includes:
> Hand-forged high carbon striker
>One chunk of English flint
>Charcloth tin with char cloth and hemp tow
>A pamphlet on fire starting and making charcloth
>Muslin bag to keep it all in

It's pretty simple, I pick the coolest or most interesting as the winner. The contest officially starts July 1st. All entries must be submitted both in the thread, and by email (screwloosecircus at Gmail)
by August 31. Unfortunately, due to shipping, I can only offer this contest for American and Canadian anons. This contest will be posted in /out/, /cgl/ and /tg/, with each board getting their own winner.
