Why would it be a weird photo to use? She looked like that during the peak of her popularity when the split/multicolored wig and split hair caught on. Her style now isn't really straight up lolita anymore, but she still influences the style. Her rainbow bangs prompted her to create wigs with rainbow bangs, which many lolitas still wear despite OTT wigs not being popular anymore.

People change and that doesn't mean how they used to look isn't influential.
