It's frustrating because I've been lowkey holding her hand whenever she comes to me with a question and she shrugs my suggestions off, even though I've tried tailoring them down to her skill level and resources.

>send her thorough information on three ways of doing the wig that I've seen and liked, ranging in difficulty from shaped foam & precise gluing, got2B glued styling, to even a simple short wig that's only been styled up for the correct bangs

>send her a link to the popular site that everyone's been getting their gems from
>send a reminder three days later to order her gem (still with a month to spare)
>with a week left to the convention, she messages me
>"shit forgot to order the gem and I don't want to pay $40 to make sure it'll get here on time"
>invent a short writeup about using half of a foam ball, spackle, and sandpaper (so at least it can *look* smooth and pearl-ish, even if it'll fall apart after one full-day wear)

>give her a rundown on options for covering her arms and legs, suggest that she could just use a really light face powder allover if she doesn't want to do body/facepaint
