You guys are reading so much into this that it's ridiculous.

I said decently good-looking. It was a bad choice of words. I guess I should've said "not ugly" or something. I'm very hard on myself and have a poor self-image and have been trying to be a little bit more upbeat about things. I was never trying to imply that I'm some kind of superstar Brad Pitt lookalike or something, just that I'm an OK-looking guy.

I also never said I wanted fangirls fawning over me, just that I'm bummed out about how the guys that girls in the community seem to like are a very different archetype than I am. It's not just here in this thread, I see it on FB and the like too. There are girls I am acquainted with that I'd be interested in, but I'm discouraged when I see them fawning over guys who are the polar opposite of me.

But here you go. I'd rather get shit-talked over what I actually look like than what people are imagining I look like, I guess.
