if your machine has a scalloped setting (#15 in pic related) then I'd draw big scallops on the fabric, then sew along the big scallops in the tiny scalloped stitch (make sure to measure properly so that the small scallops line up with the edge of the big scallops!) and then cut them out by hand carefully.
