I think this year the OTT-'Classic' trend will just continue to rise.

Most of the old sweet girls have moved onto classic because they're older and thus think they have to 'mature' their look, but are used to over accessorizing from their sweet days, that's where all this veil/crosses/crown shit is coming from, sweets are easy to accessorize (candy, cookies, animals, etc.), but with more mature prints you're pretty limited to typical themes so they're stuck with flowers, jewels and then the stereotype of religious imagery.

As many have already said in this thread, I think we're going into fully lined capelets (capes will cover the silhouette and thus not work), crowns, scepters, maybe even swords/daggers (guarantee you will be those medieval themed letter openers) for the 'edgy' lolitas. I was always surprised antique books never took off as props, they come in a myriad of colors and Art Nouveau book covers were always beautifully done.
