This is slightly off-topic, but if you're interested in dolls as well, could I possibly recommend Bleuette dolls? They were a French doll produced from 1905 to 1960 and available through a related weekly periodical call "La Semaine de Suzette" or "Suzette's Week" and were basically the ball-jointed American Girl-like doll franchise of their time:

I'm a bit biased since I have a Bleuette doll myself, but I find they match so well with the lolita aesthetic and they're just so pretty! The main idea is to sew (and crochet, and knit) clothes for them yourself:

If anyone is interested I have more links and can post them in the Lolita Lifestyle Thread? There's several Bleuette online sewing clubs and there's collectors' conventions as well. I'd love to get a lolita Bleuette collecting/crafting club going or something!
