Not really cosplay or lolita related, but I work in a haunted house and they've been selling kids the white contact lenses and shit.
>Hey anon we're selling theatrical lenses this year.
>Cool! I am blind as a bat if I don't have contacts in my prescription so I'll order some from my regular lenses site.
>Anon, don't you know you can put the theatrical lenses over your regular contacts so you can see?
That's... that's not how that works. That's how you scratch your damn cornea or something. Since they're selling these to anyone a lot of the kids there have never used contacts before so they have no idea how to keep them clean or how to handle them. The other night I over heard some kid say
>Hey is it okay that my contact has a rip in it if it stays in one piece in my eye?

Witnessed the same kid pour contact solution right into his eye after fingering the top of the bottle. The haunted house is a 200 year old town hall building so his hands had god knows what on them. I think that if you're going to sell these to dumb redneck kids who have never put something in their eye before you should print out a care sheet to include or something... I don't know who told them it was okay to layer contacts either.
