When I met my gf, she was in a "anime sucks" phase, she never minded me cosplaying, but refused to cosplay with me.
As time went on she got more interested and she finally accepted to cosplay with me.
I've always enjoyed sewing feminine clothing, so I've been crossplaying for a while even if I'm tall and have broad shoulders.
But I'm so happy that I can finally make a dress and make it look actually good on her, I'm so excited.
She still dislikes cons because of bad experiences but she is willing to come for me.
I think she doesn't realise how happy it actually makes me, I can't wait to finish the costume.
